2. Technical provision and server logs

When this website is accessed, the web server processes technically necessary information. This may include the IP address, time, requested URL, browser information and referrer. Processing is necessary to provide, stabilize and secure the website on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical logs are retained only for as long as required for operation, security and error analysis.

3. Local website statistics

Regardless of consent, only the total number of public external page views and detected web crawlers are stored as daily values. No cookie or visitor identifier is created for this purpose. The IP address and user-agent are processed only during the request to distinguish internal access or detect typical crawler patterns and are not stored. This strictly limited processing serves technical and statistical operational oversight on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; no information on the end device is accessed for this purpose.

Only after your explicit consent are additional local detailed statistics created to improve this website's content and technology. The legal bases are your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG.

  • The IP address and full user-agent are processed only briefly in memory.
  • A secret HMAC key is used to create a daily rotating pseudonymous visitor identifier.
  • Time, requested page, referring domain, device type, browser family, operating-system family, country and region are stored.
  • The raw IP address, full user-agent, city and internet provider are not stored.
  • Geolocation is performed exclusively on the local server; the IP address is not transferred to a geolocation or analytics service.

Daily identifiers used for detailed statistics are removed during cleanup after no more than two calendar days. Anonymous daily counters and aggregated detailed statistics are currently retained for up to 395 days. The consent decision is stored in a cookie for 180 days and can be changed at any time using “Privacy settings”. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Cookies and local storage

SkyView uses technically necessary cookies for language, appearance and, where applicable, administrator login. The local-statistics decision is stored in the “skyview_statistics_consent” cookie. No external analytics or marketing cookies are used.

5. Recipients and external content

Personal data is disclosed only where necessary for technical operation or compliance with legal obligations. Fonts, statistics and geolocation data are served or processed locally; no third-party analytics scripts are loaded in the browser.

6. Your rights

Subject to statutory requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
